COOKING and BAKING

Participants will explore cooking and baking while learning practical kitchen skills for preparing a variety of simple foods, snacks, and baked goods. Activities may include measuring and mixing ingredients, following recipes, using kitchen tools and appliances safely, preparing ingredients, and completing recipes from beginning to end. Participants will practice making choices, organizing ingredients and supplies, following multi-step directions, understanding basic measurements, and cleaning their workspace.

Skills supported: Independence, fine-motor skills, hand-eye coordination, concentration, organization, sequencing, following directions, kitchen safety awareness, measuring, decision-making, creativity, problem-solving, communication, social skills, and task completion.

HOLIDAY GIFT MAKING

Sunday 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM
$75 per class, all materials included
Participants will explore holiday gift making while learning practical hands-on skills for creating simple handmade gifts. Projects will include making a scented candle, sugar scrub, and herb-infused oil for cooking. Activities may include measuring and mixing ingredients, selecting scents and materials, following step-by-step instructions, using tools safely, preparing and assembling materials, and completing each project from beginning to end. Participants will practice making choices, organizing supplies, following multi-step directions, understanding basic measurements, and cleaning their workspace.
